What happened at stone mountian

Just as General Sherman was getting ready to burn Atlanta and start his march for the sea that a lone Confederate soldier started yelling down all kinds of insults at Sherman from the top of Stone Mountain. Sherman turns to a near-by officer and says "send someone up there to take care of that man." The officer sent up a man but a little while later the man come tumbling down the mountain all beat-up and bloody and the Confederate is still on top of the mountain yelling insults at Sherman. Sherman again turns to the officer and says "this will not do, send ten men up there to take care of that man." The officer sends up ten men but after a while the lone Confederate on the mountain top is yelling insults again and the ten men are never heard from. Losing his patients General Sherman turns to the officer and says "Send our best company of men up there and take care of that man once and for all." The officer sends a company of 100 men up the mountain and after a while one of them comes stumbling back all beat up and bloody. The man staggers up to Sherman and says, "General it's a trap, there are two of them up there."
