A Dream from 6/22/12 which I hereby entitle "Luck! BAD Luck!!!"
Lt Cmdr Data is walking in an alien bazaar, among strange-looking people and robots in a Medieval type
setting. Data sees a white-faced, hooded figure, ahd hides from him behind a stone wall.
"Luck! Bad luck!" He says quietly, then, in an even quieter voice, "Very bad luck!"
He peeks out from behind the wall, and tries again, a bit louder this time. "Luck! Get your luck here!
Luck for you! Luck to you!" This time the white-faced creature hears him, and turns to follow Data's
voice. When he comes to the wall, Data jumps him, landing on his back and gripping with arms and legs,
holding onto the robed being. He rips the hood away, and another Data can be seen within the robe. But
this Sung-type robot has a small blue pack attached to his back between his shoulders. A small round
analog gage shows in the middle of it, registering 'Full'. The android staggers out into a more public
area carrying Data, or rather, struggling to rid himself of him. Geordi sees the struggle, and whips out
his phaser. He fires on the strange android, hitting the blue pack. The android goes down, and both are
incapacitated. A strange-looking bird-robot that might have been part of an Aleut totem pole if it
weren't mobile, watched with interest, its round bronze body gleaming, its painted eagle's head and long,
stylized beak showing no expression at all.
The two robots are taken away, and Data is taken under house arrest. He is awake and aware, but refuses
to speak. My sister pushes past the crowd, telling everyone else to stand back, that she would handle
this. Then to me she says, "I've always been a bit of a gambler, just trust me." She then motioned for me
to leave as well. I went across the patio and sat on a bench beside a large minotaur-man. Looking past
him, I watched as she went and talked with Data. I could now see that the blue pack had been attached to
Data's back. What was it? The bull-man said that he now had the responsibility for the full amount of
credit. The pack was apparently a means of tracking credit, or it was worth a great deal, and Data had by
his actions taken responsibility for an insanely large sum.
That was the dream. My only addition would be that I have not seen my sister or thought of her in years.
We are not estranged, but I have no means of contacting her. Why she would appear in this dream is a
mystery to me. I've heard recently that ones dreams reflect the real you. If that is true, I have NO IDEA
who I am or what this dream signifies. I kinda think it's just my inner writer screaming to get out. ;)
