We still have video players but we usually use DVD players. I see no point in buying blu-ray.

DVD player/VCR combo as I have movies from before DVDs. I haven't connected my Netflix to my television or anything else so all my streaming movies from Netflix and Hulu I watch on my computer as I have a nice wide screen.

Most of these are DVD (and now Blu-ray) titles. (Modern DVD burners are also Blu-ray players.)

And some of them are direct or Torrent downloads.

Quite frankly ..
I still have a working VCR (and sometimes watch those tapes)
but most things are on DVD ..
there's no reason to upgrade to BlueRay at all ..
even my guests in my home don't want Blue Ray (and are happy with the DVD Collection I have)

Depends on my mood. I usually just play them on my tv through my xbox 360. Had a power surge recently that rendered those things useless though, so I now use my laptop to watch movies on. When I find a particularly pleasant movie that I want to watch at home and get the best out of it as I can, I hook it up to my projector and surround sound and get the movie effect at home.
