We do environmental work and it is science based without politics. I see the contributors to the Hurricane Sandy and we are all politics thinking we can spend our way out of what we are doing on the planet.

If we matched environmental budgets with military budgets around the world, we could solve a lot of problems.

Some christian with access to nukes will decide the rapture is upon us and kill the planet. They are mostly weak folks that will believe anything if you cloak it in a "god Said" way.

I believe 2 things.
1. True, people will keep on slaughtering each other, like we have forever.
2. When Jesus comes back and the Rapture of the church happens; That isn't the thing that will kill everybody, but rather the Tribulation that comes after the rapture with the anti-Christ.

That's just my opinion and thoughts :P

Not "The SUN" but our twin sun called Nibiru which can not be seen for two reasons one it is a "failed" sun meaning it did not ignite making it a Brown Dwarf and secondly it is returning into our system not on the same angle as the rest of the planets (30degress from the ecliptic) when it gets closer it will drag the crust of the earth northward and the north and south poles will be in different places (This is what is referred to as the "pole shift")

1.) An asteroid.
2.) Global warming destroys most crops, resulting in mass famine.
3.) Earth's magnetic poles flip, temporarily allowing gamma radiation to kill all higher life forms on earth (including us).
4.) A solar pulse fries all electronics on earth. Because EVERYTHING electronic is gone, it's not possible to "reboot" our technological civilization. We all perish within a few months because we're too domesticated to survive without technology.
5.) The super volcano under Yellowstone erupts, sending earth into a nuclear winter, causing mass starvation.
