What do you think will destroy the human race ?

I think it will be a combination of things:
1 - consumption of resources faster than we can grow them.
2 - toxification of our environment/ecology.
3 - test tube viruses that accidentally escape into densely populated areas.
4 - global warming driving people into more densely packed living areas over time. (think skyscraper apartment boxes.)
5 - an age of scientific and rational-less darkness. People will begin turn their backs on scientific discovery and renaissance for theocratic and patriarchal control, and we will begin to devolve.

I don't know if this will all happen in 100 years or 10,000 years, but given what predictability of certain human behaviors we know it will happen eventually.

Religion!

Could be a nuclear holocaust, or we may very well damage the ecosystem beyond repair. But I'm betting we do ourselves in before a comet can do it for us.

You mean besides human greed? Global warming which we initiated is constantly accelerating ( even now that we are careful - natural souces have been melted that are blooming methane gas in the arctic areas/tundra.

The greatest danger to humanity IS humanity. Deep within the bowels of our society, there lies a great corruption, but we hold in the poison. But now the rotten core of humanity is starting to show, and by the time we realise how much damage we've done to ourselves, it will be too late.

There is nothing I can foresee in the future that would suggest anything would wipe out the human race. Even if we do just all kill eachother, some humans somewhere will survive, we've spread too far to all kill eachother.

I believe the Rapture is coming but what I believe will destroy mankind is mankind given over to a sinful nature that will buy into a one world economic system.

I have mixed feelings about this because I do believe for every death there is a new life. With that said eventually us as humans might destroy each other. Think about what will happen if nuclear war were to ever happen or a new virus that was man made was brought upon us. I'm not even going to get in the environment issue of it..... but humans will be our destruction.
