What do you fear?

What stories, movies, things that go bump in the night, make you cringe? What animal or creepy crawly reduce you to a jiggling mass of humanity?

Fear can be a very useful emotion.
And it darn sure gets the blood pumping.
So what are your fears? I hate spiders and bats. I mean, really. The bats in particular. I know they can't hurt me. I know this intellectually. But have one fly near and I become a ducking, crawling and blathering fool. I even know that darn bat is probably scared guano-less of me.
Scary movies never seem to frighten me. Some startle - like the gal that got hit by that bus in one of the Final Destination movies but really, I'm not scared.
I think I'm more afraid of the real life monsters.
The movie monsters and book monsters and villains don't scare me. Parts of real life scare me. Sometimes a whole lot.
What say you?
I've heard this quote a number of times "
“Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage, and confidence in the doing.” "
I'm terribly sorry.
Each time I face my fear, my voice gets a little more high-pitched and I'm sure my tether to this side of the dirt is worn away just a scoche.
Rotten bats, anyway.

An American civil war (I'm not playing any blame-game) followed by a power gain by other countries like Russia, China, ecc...
Personally?
Being dragged away by monsters to some unknown place (losing contact with reality?)
The monsters?
Yikes!
Halloween coming soon!
We always make such a big deal of Halloween!
And yes, love to! We always do a big thing with coffee and donuts for parents, and cider for kids and dress up :P Sometimes we do a little stage show.. Just fun!
Great idea!
Apart from that I wouldn't like being dropped in the ocean in the dark miles from land.!!
I think it's justified.
That would be scary, in the ocean.
There ya go! Win-win!
Personally? Dead babies and Girl Scouts that crawl up out of the woods behind my house and come and hide under my beds. They have very sharp teeth and if you hang your feet off the bed, they will be chewed and bitten.
I can honestly say I don't fear the GSOA or dead babies chewing me pins off!
