SOAK him in Tomato Juice...watch the eyes!
Then rinse well & Bath in usual Shampoo
You may have to do it 2X, but as long as it gets DEEP into his coat it works...I've done it MANY times unfortunately!

Call the veteranarian and get some treatment developed specifically to make Skunky Fido smell like Just Rolled in Roses Fido.

I have heard hydrogen peroxide works well to remove the smell. My friend's Doberman got sprayed recently she used Tomato juice that seemed to work alright. I heard about Hydrogen Peroxide from a veterinarian.

Oh, man! Just once! My brother's Golden Retriever. She was barking, the skunk was stinking, sister in-law ran out to bring her in. We all thought we got to her in time. BUT NOOOOO! Wish I could remember her name, but she let loose this huge gagging sneeze/cough and out spewed the skunk piss. We all had little kids and this was fairly late fall very cold evening too, it stunk so bad, woke all the kids up, we were all literally in tears.

My 3 small dogs got sprayed one night..not real bad..but bad enough..I had one large can of tomato juice. Not enough for 3 because one is a pom and has thick hair..we did the two slick hairs first..ran out of tomato juice..used some tomato sauce and a can of spaghetti sauce...LOL...it worked...Later I noticed that Chewy (the pom) had something in his tail...(one of those poofy over the back kind)..so I checked and it was a mushroom...LOL..the spaghetti sauce had mushrooms in it!! But it worked!! Now I have some shampoo called Skunk Be Gone!!

They need something acid to neutralize the skunk smell. Tomato juice is the usual, but I had a cat sprayed by a skunk once and sponged him with vinegar and bathed him. He wasn't happy with a bath, but was so unhappy with the skunk smell, that he allowed me to do it.

Then tell my wife her dog stinks.
Then take the dog to the vet to be shaved naked and given a bath.
Pay the vet with my wife's credit card.

Tomatoe juice until soggy - let it sit for 15 min and then a warm bath. Worked on my spaniel who tried to make a skunk a girl friend.
