They last it seems forever. The sandal has no straps and is held on by a toe holder. Once you learn to walk in them they are quite wonderful and great traction. Sadly the idea did not warrant enough sales so it was discontinued plus the original price of $50 a pair made a lot of people just say no. I have had my pair for a good 4 or 5 years now and love them. They are called Dopies. You can still find them out there but sizes are limited and of course the price has dropped as the vendors who still have some just want to get them sold instead of throwing them in the trash. They were marketed as """ Naked shoes for naked people """ so of course me being an avid nudist they caught my full attention. They just needed to have a lower starting sale price and the idea would have survived.
They did come with a strap but were really designed to be worn without thus the idea of being close to naked.
