The Vampire Lestat - by Anne Rice. It would have to be in parts however because of the intricate story line. It's so juicy!

There already was a movie based on that book... and it was awful.

That's Queen of the Damned, the last and worst book. Lestat has never been done. The book is amazing, best of the trilogy.

Not impressive to me, but then very little after 'Interview' did.

In Interview Rice wrote from her pain and her heartbreak, and it was obvious.

Everything else seemed like it was written to make money.

Just my opinion, though.

They combined both books into "Queen"? Didn't know that. I can't even see Lestat being done in one film! Yikes.

I watched 15 minutes of Queen and stopped tape. Hated the book! Maybe my mood was different while reading Lestat....

I totally agree with you about everything else....drivel.

Did you read her trilogy on Sleeping Beauty? Now THERE'S a challenge for filmmaking. It's the original "50 Shades Of Grey" only on crack. Talk about steamy.

Yeah, they took the worst parts from both novels and jammed it all into one awful ass movie.

And I only read the first novel she wrote under AN Roquelaurel;

Again, I wasn't impressed; it seemed like she was trying too hard to "titillating."

'The Mummy' was far more erotic IMO...

50 Shades was a bit Sophomoric to me...I think it was the girl chatter. It was a beach book so I guess I was in the right spot to get through it.

The last I heard, Alex Jones was doing a phone book movie. He's going to expose the New World Order conspiracy which makes all the leading numbers identical. ;-)

The novel is a 'hard SciFi,' a story where the rules of science are obeyed and little magic is used. In the novel, a group of astronauts board an interstellar spaceship from another civilization. Basically, it is a look at what such a star traveler would possibly look like.

I know I enjoyed it. I might have to pick it up again and reread it. It's been awhile since I've enjoyed some true science fiction. I've been thinking about rereading Asimov's Foundation trilogy again, too.

I would love to see this book done into a movie! Actually I'd like to see the sequels ('Rama II' through 'Rama Revealed') done in the form of a mini series to really get the character development done right. If not, I'm afraid the movie adaptation will suffer from the same problems Prometheus had and any movie that attempts to answer such HUGE existential questions within the confines of a 2 hour movie.

Some of the Prey novels by John Sandford. Lucas Davenport is a great cop and the novels if done right have adventure, family, violence, love, and dedication to the job.

i hope they do it, don't ruin the book and i'd trulyyyyy like to see Liam Hemsworth as Thomas [the main character]. idk why but from the very beginning i imagined Thomas like Liam. :p
