Well, I was going to go with a group of people and we were all going to go as Disney princesses who had been murdered and/or mutilated by our princes in a way that kind of went along with the story. For instance, I was going to be Belle after being attacked by a werewolf. (Because in my mind, yes, the Beast is a werewolf.) Ariel was going to be strangled (Prince Eric liked her better when she couldn't speak), but we can't figure out what to do for our Cinderella.

Already got a Grim Reaper cloak, now looking for a prop scythe. If not found, could just hang a cross around my neck & carry a big Bible & go as a (Trappist?) Monk.

Most cultures have a day of remembrance of since-departed ancestors (Samhein), when the Church took over, this was co-opted into All Saints or Souls Days (kinda like Mardi Gras prior to Lent). Celebrate with good company.
