Actually this summer has seen a jump in business.

Several bail jump cases to bounty, about 15 unloyal husband/wife cases, six insurance fraud investigations and 22 background checks.

Going to be an awesome Christmas this year...providing the Mayans aren't right. Lol.

I have been on a workcamp placement with disadvantaged teenagers in Slovenia and am now at a nudist resort in Croatia. It's great!!!

Well, I live in Hawaii and it IS hot and humid all year long, but I don't swim or surf or go near the beach; I'm in the house 95% of the time, so I may as well do something that's not dangerous. (And we do have a fire extinguiser in the kitchen....in case something goes wrong with the oven.) I have lots of ice water all the time and the dogs love ice cubes!!!
The dogs keep me company in the kitchen. Not the greatest assistants, but good company!!!

I assumed Hawaii but it would of been my luck I was wrong :-)
Hopefully you have one heck of a great central air or a/c's. My mom loved to bake & it didn't matter if it was summer or winter. And we didn't have nothing more than a couple of fans, always enjoyed it though. I'm sure those who get your baked goods, are glad you bake too!

I haven't baked in a while, so I'm sticking with my "tried and true" recipes!! After that, I'll try making scones for the very first time!!!
About the AC: it's turned on ONLY when the dogs get hot........the rest of the time, we use fans. LOTS OF FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Elvis does make my blood pressure go up!!! Make that two fans and a large glasss of ice water!!!!!
Did your mom ever get to see Elvis in-person? I saw him twice when I was 23. He sure was EXCITING to watch, not to mention HANDSOME!!!!

LOL @ the fans & ice water! No, unfortunately she never did get to see him in concert. How wonderful that you got to see him and twice at that!! Were you like the women they show at his concerts, crying & weak in the knees? I thought, wow has he got "it" or what? lol

We were sitting waaay up and I was watching Elvis with binocculars. Up close, Elvis looked so vulnerable and handsome when he looked our way~~~~~Yeah! My legs turned to peanut butter!!!!! It's unbelieveable how handsome Elvis was in-person!!!!! No wonder all the women were trying to get a kiss from him!!!!! Oh yeah!!!! He was ALL THAT AND MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!!! Talk about making you weak in the knees~~~~~~~ whew!!!

I "floated" down the stairs and out of the arena after the show.....
Elvis performed only on the mainland, so for us to be able to see him in Hawaii was quite an event! You should have seen the amount of fans who had come all the way from Japan to see Elvis!!!! They filled 1/4 of the arena!!! They had their own cheering section for Elvis!!!
I bought the DVD of the show, and play it frequently. Aaaah.... the memories.......
