13-14, or at least when she's actually mature enough to know what make up does and wise enough to know that they don't actually have to wear it to be pretty.

Wrong question. Girls should be taught that make-up is just that: fake. It's not that important. And being obsessed about when they can wear make-up shows that they aren't mature enough for it.

My young self would disagree, but I'd say thirteen - looks like my mother was right (how she went about it is a different issue), what a rare occurrence! That's for everyday make-up, if it's just a child playing around with her mother's make-up, playing dress-up, that's different - I'd probably go down to eight then. Assuming when the game is over, it comes off.

It's a hard call, really. I was 16 when I was allowed which I didn't like. I think when a girl starts high school she should be allowed to start wearing it...as long as she doesn't try to leave the house looking like she's headed for a night on the town or center ring of the circus.

They should allowed to experiment at 5 years or older, but actually wearing it in public places, I'd say 16... just not so much that they will be looking like a barbie doll.

I was 14 when I was allowed to wear it, so that seems a good age to me.

I tend to agree with my mother on this one. She let me start when I was about 14 on the condition that I couldn't wear a lot of it. Some light shades of eyeshadow, tinted lip gloss, concealer, and a little base powder is what she got me as a sort of starter set.

14 years old and older. Well maybe 13 years old. Girls in my school already wear makeup and a lot of it. Im not into makeup i would probally only use foundation. TO get rid of bumps or hide them.

15 They should go easy on it then. I had a 14 year old friend a long time ago that couldn't go without it because her face looked like the surface of the moon from wearing make-up all the time. Not good for your skin.

High school, so around 13-14. I did start wearing make-up at age 4, when I started taking dance classes. You're required to wear make up for the recitals and picture days. But high school was when I got my own make up and I was allowed to wear it everyday. Of course, I didn't wear it everyday for long. I got tired of waking up early to put it on, so now I wear it only on special occasions :)
