What a good way to pass a rainy day with kids?

It rained all day yesterday, so my 7 year old and I:

Made breakfast together
Took out and set up my old elephant statue collection (Some of them are 5 generations old)
Busted out the paint supplies and decorated huge white bunny shaped wooden statues to look like the land and the universe
Played a few games of Wii Sports
Played a couple hands of poker (Gotta earn his allowance lol)
Then we set a hat on the floor and spent an hour trying to toss cards in it
Found some cardboard boxes and made forts, rolled up some newspaper in duct tape to make "bombs", arranged the living room with tupperware containers and blankets for the terrain and had a great game of capture the flag

play in the rain!

A Disney marathon with sing along. My kids are adults and we still do this. My son is stationed in Japan and we send him video clips from his faves when he feels down.

Play board games, video games, watch movies ..

Put together puzzles, My children enjoyed them.

Did that lol that filled over an hour. It was fun.

One night my 14 year old neighbor her 11 year old friend and me and my 6 year old all went puddle jumping!
