I wasn't the most popular, I was awkward and shy. But only a hand full of people could ever say I was rude or mean, and they freaking deserved all the attitude I could muster.

I was never mean to other kids. Ever. I knew what it felt like to be teased and tormented. Second and third grade were particularly hard for me, because I had a single, relentless bully in both grades. I know how much that hurts, and you could not have paid me to tease another kid throughout school. The only time I ever got semi-nasty was when people would relentlessly make fun of my best friend in HS. My best friend is one of the all-time best people I've ever known, and I couldn't tolerate people making fun of her every single day. I did call them out on that a couple of times, but I didn't enjoy it. Otherwise, I was always nice to people.

When I was there I was - I thought I was too cool for school though. But I never bullied anyone or got off on belittling other people. My mom raised me to be careful not to hurt people.
