At times this seems to fly in the face of human nature. Who among us, regardless of what we have, has not wanted more. But it is so true that in searching for what seems to be so much better we completely lose sight of what we have and often it is so much more than we deserve and far more than we think we have.

We all know we have but a limited time on this earth. The sad part is we never know how long that is. When young we think that will be a long way off. When we get there however we often, perhaps for the first time in our life, know what we missed by simply not being in the moment. That can be the saddest thing of all.

Nice, but I didn't get the guy reaching for the strawberry part.

basicly he was going to die no matter what if he climbed up or if he did nothing and waited to fall he was going to die so he might as well eat the strawberry and enjoy the life he has left before death

Great post! I was just thinking a while ago, as I was doing my housecleaning, that a friend who will visit next week just before we leave for the UK, would probably look around my house and think I'm so lucky to have some of the things I have. And I appreciate the things I do have.
