We ought find old apple products and every 30 minutes place a device on concrete, you give a short speech, and a pretty girl jump up and down on the decedent device. I partially blame Crapple for making every little change such a big deal. There's little difference between the iPhone 4S and the upcoming iPhone 5, yet already people are hyped about it.

I have a 4S, and aside from the only other Apple products I've had are the original iPod nano and the original iTouch I got around the time they were fairly new (after waiting for a price drop of course). Other than that, I don't touch Apple. I work with PC and nothing else as far as computers go. The only place Apple has ever prevailed is in their music players and phones... well, that, and having the "virus-free" reputation.

Don't know about the iPad, it's just an oversized iTouch as far as I'm concerned.

I will say that the iPhone is a pretty good product and by far the best phone I've had, and before this, I had an Android - was NOT pleased with it - but as good as it is, I'm glad I hesitated in investing in an iPhone until the 4S. I've played around with the previous versions, none of which tickled my fancy in particular other than when 3G was introduced, but especially after their bumps in the road with the iPhone, the wait was worth it.

But the iPhone 5, just forget about it. Give it another four years before considering getting a brand-spankin new iPhone. And who knows, maybe by then, we'll have something better than an iPhone or Android.

You're reasonable, yet you think everyone except artsy people and designers who like Apple products are dummies? That's not true. You're a dummy if you feel the need to have every new iPhone or iPad or Mac computer as soon as it comes out, not if you just like having an iPhone.

i only upgrade when my phone contract is up, but i will upgrade to the newest model of iphone at that point.

Tip: you can just renew your old contract and keep your old phone. The sky won't fall in.

but i get the new one for free (even though they cost minimum $800 here) so might as well upgrade anyway.

yep free, I have been with my phone company for a while (since I was 11) and with loyalty comes perks, like free upgrades, cheaper plans etc.

Yup! But it costs some more. Cell phones can be a downward pressure on income. As with the old trade of real estate sales. Agents spent most of their time organizing their family and friends social lives and not working. 95% personal calls.

Or take your old phone and stomp on it and not renew. Now there's an option.

i personally like the iphone, you dont have to like them too, but seeing as i am the one that is using it the final decision comes down to me.

I suppose. Many people need a mobile phone for work. Or, you know, it's handy actually having a portable phone, which I believe was the perk in the first place.

For most people who use a cell phone at work, the phone is a downward pressure on productivity. This world was built without cellular. Our grandmothers raised families of 10 children without a cell phone. We went to the moon. What have we done since the cellular system turned on in Los Angeles in approx 1985?

Here's the thing if you haven't seen a recent iphone or ever owned a iphone you probably wouldn't know the diffrents. The people here seened to have 4s and compared them side by side and thought the other one was better and looked diffrent in size and weight.
