Jimmy Kimmel is always entertaining. Whether he's pranking children or making celebrities read mean tweets about themselves, he always manages to put everything into perspective. And it's no different with his latest prank: asking random people to critique the new iPhone 5 (which isn't even out yet) with the older iPhone 4S. Most are as stupid as a stick and will follow silly adverts all the way to the store trusting what they hear right or wrong and never do a 1/2 hour of personal research before buying a product. And it isn't just electronic product they do it with cars as well even houses if it has the "right" address.

I have not ever had a cell phone or Facebook and look I am still alive. I have just been forcibly retired from real estate sales (like every one else), but I never had a cell, when I did sell, and was always at the top end in sales. Americans are sheeple or they wouldn't vote in an election.They elect to choose their dictator and have no self respect.

Sameth, thanks I've never read that before. It rings true, but most people my age, and my friends, can't live without a cell phone in their possession. I think it is a mix of fear and insecurity.

I have a phone tied to the wall in my home office. When I leave the office, I update my voice mail answer and the phone must stay with the printer, copy machine, fax, stapler, desk, file cabinet etc. If you allow one to come they all want to come.

I cherish my privacy. People need permission to speak with me. Freedom!

In 1976 when I started selling real estate the customers biggest bitch was they couldn't get a hold of agents. Pagers came along and same bitch - no improvement. Then voice mail and same result - no improvement. Now cellular phones and real estate customers still complain they can't get a hold of agents.

Agents made an average of $6K to $12K a year. They are on their cell phones organizing their friends and families lives constantly. it's a downward pressure on productivity. So why have the damn things: insecurity and fear!

Absolutely. I'm a warehouse manager ,so at 5:00 p.m. it's my family time .The family does't call unless it's an emergency . I have salesman customers and truck drivers to deal with let alone the staff (whom I might add work very well independantly )The phone never stops !!!

And your job was being done by someone without phone prior to1985. The truth is very few people need a cell phone. Glen, do you know what would happen if the cellular system shut down for 24-hours?

Back in the 80s one of two cigarette factories in Russia closed down. There was such a panic American tobacco companies shipped millions of emergency cigarettes to them post haste. They were beginning to riot. Ha ha ha Wouldn't you love it?

Remember when Facebook went silent earlier this month or last. Students were saying they could not do their homework. What is that saying? Shared effort or plagiarism. Everybody thought that Steve was out of his mind not to fight the blatant theft of technology by Microsoft , but he was right, they slipped the iPod into every bodies pocket. AKA Sony transistor radio(put a bigger pocket on shirt) and the rest is history.
I do not think windows 8 has a chance of playing a catch up game.
