Yep. Consumers are pretty ignorant about things. They just want to know it's the newest one. It's pretty funny, too. If you tell the it's the newest one, they'll give it compliments. If he had asked me, I'd tell him it's not out yet, because I keep on top of Apple's news and updates. :)

After all, look at the fantastic success Apple has selling over-priced sizzle already. Heck, just think of all the suckers paying $600-$1,000 for one of their crippled computers, the iPhad, JUST because, well, it's an Apple product. Time-waster, less capable than a typical notebook (OK, might have to add a $30 3G/4G card to the notebook), but oooooo! it's a tablet that lets users "type" on a crappy virtual keyboard! etc.

I bought my 4S recently, despite the fact that the 5 comes out. First iPhone and the only reason I bought it was because I was going to end up buying a new iPod and a new cell phone anyway. Thought it would be better to get the two together. There are certain things I like about the iPhone, but at the same time I do miss my Droid.

That being said, I really have no regrets. I am not going to rush out and buy the 5 when it comes out. I'll probably just get whatever's out and cheap when I decide to upgrade from this. My phone/computer/electronics are not fashion accessories. I bought the iPhone because of the vastly superior battery life. I've also had other MP3 players and I prefer the iPod. It's really the only MP3 player that I've owned that's consistently worked. I wore my old one out, though. (It still works for the most part, but it's a little banged up.)

I honestly have never once used my Droid as an MP3 player simply because if I did, I would have no juice to make calls or texts with. The iPhone is better for that. But if they were to give a Droid that kind of battery, I'd go for that. I'm more of a PC person to be honest. The iPod/iPhone are really the only Mac products I'm willing to buy. I'd love for the Droid to have a better battery life and such, but for now I'll make do with Apple. I know I make it sound like I'm settling, but I'm really not. I do like my iPhone.

I don't know what my point is here. I'm just going off on a tirade.

you made the right choice...I had the EVO and the battery life sucked bad...cool phone but unacceptable battery...the only other option is to by some huge ass battery piggyback and that is just stupid when you consider how small the i-phone is and as I'm sure you now know all the cool stuff it can do....and talking to syri is fun:)

That's actually the phone I traded in. It did have a bad battery. It was the only drawback to the phone.

But yeah, Siri is a ton of fun. Still figuring out what exactly she'll react to.

Keep on it she will surprise you....I even got her to tell me a story once :)
