No, ladies and gentlemen, this isn't a joke. Japan actually has a "Saturday Night Live" spinoff.
The show airs once a month -- unlike the U.S. version, which airs weekly -- and it's broadcast live. Check it out and let us know what you think.
Here's the intro to the new Japanese version of SNL that premiered last weekend. It's very similar to the US intro! They even got Don Pardo (or someone who sounds a lot like Don Pardo) to do the voiceover!

The host looks like he was trying to be Conan O'Brien with that jump.
I don't think it would be that funny. But again would be better if this video was longer.
