Every search and rescue dog at ground zero had to wear special little boots. Dogs only act crazy for a little while, once they run around a bit they forget they have them on. It is funny to see how they react as each one reacts differently.

We put those on our dog once. He lifted his legs so high to walk, but he got used to them pretty fast.

And I really don't think this is that cruel. Like some people have mentioned, it can help prevent their paws from being damaged.

I have a set of boots for my Beagle, because the streets and sidewalks get pretty hot in the Las Vegas summer heat. He sounds like a horse galloping around with them on.

that's just cruel. someone needs to put those humans in some insane outfit and laugh at them when they can't move right. And how dare they offer a treat to get the dog to come and then keep backing away. That is just cruel!
