They don't need provoking to get them to hate us. All we do to provoke them into hating us is to exist. We are the infidels, remember? Simply because we refuse to bow to Muhammed, a human individual. Just so we are on the same page here. When I first heard the name Allah, I assumed that it was just the Arabic name for God. Like Budda is to a Buddist and such. Then I was told that they worship Allah and his Prophet Mohammed. I said" Who is this mortal man that they should worship him?" Now I am not going to say that I am an expert, but I believe in God, perhaps not in the way that fits into any of the orthodox way of any religion, But to worship a mere mortal or to place him on the same level as the deity that you worship sort of contradicts itself. But then I feel the same way about the Catholic faith. I don't mean this as a smear on that faith, worship as you will, but to call the Pope "His Holy Father" seems a contradiction as well. The Pope, while being deemed as the most holy of all Catholics is one thing, but to kiss his ring and call him that seems strange. Along those same lines, one Pope "runs the show" in one way, then when that Pope dies, the next Pope takes his place and as far as I can tell the new Pope changes religious laws and things, It would seem to me that if every Pope would be enforcing God's Laws, not making their own rules to fit the individual Pope.
But Muhammed , from what I have read, was nothing more than a blood thirsty warmonger that used Allah and religion to fuel his armies to convert others to his way of life or die. Then he made rules and he went along. First it was slay your enemies, then it was slay your enemies,loot the valuables and take their women and children as slaves. Then it was do the above, but as soon as a man is dead his wife is yours to rape and take as a slave. Then it was do all the above, but because he was Mohammed, he was to receive a certain amount of the spoils in valuables, woman and children from each campaign, and so on and so on.

When we got into it with the first "Rebel Army", our Army found out that it was a new type of war. Not one where you march your assets into the Theatre of War and start fighting. These guys hide in holes and strap bombs to others and run them into the middle of the market place and blow up 40 or 50 of their own people to kill a couple of soldiers and a truck.

They hide in mosques and civilian dwellings with innocenets and shoot from the windows, when our boys send a missile into the place, they cry bloody murder and carry out the bodies of the children that were inside and call "foul". Our soldiers are supposed to have risked everyone to try and kill just the soldiers and no innocent people at all. Like the human shield scenario that plays out alot.

Reality, I can only assume by calling the Americans "Yanks" you are from England or something. Well, i am proud to be a "Yank". and like I said in my above posting, I don't think it was appropiate for them to do what they did, but I don't think it deserves more media attention than what the Taliban has done to it's own people either.

I feel that we should have pulled our regular military back to a defensive position and brought up our Special Forces entities, and deploy them into the field to carry out some of the same tactics our enemy uses. Kidnapping, roadside bombs, throw the Geneva Convention out the window, seems only we adhere to it anyway. Beat the crap out of those who are captured and get them to talk,nothing more intimidating than seeing a Sergent from the motor pool with arms as big as your leg with fists as big as George Foreman asking you questions and if you refuse, he breaks your face with a single blow. If it takes putting women's underwear on their heads in interrogation, so be it. Waterboarding, okay. Let me get you some water.
I think that any nation that engages forces like this should use the same tactics against them. We don't behead but dancing on the end of a rope works too.

You say you should expect nothing less from the Yanks, you are right. We changed our tactics to beat the Redcoats. We should do the same here. Change our tactics.
They have a problem with pig's blood. Nice. Put it out there that every American soldier has dipped their ammon in it so that when the enemy has been shot, they will not be going to Paradise. Rain pig's blood onto the battlefield. Spray caves and other hiding spots with it so the enemy will not go in.
