    Sadly I believe that is true. Our nation cares far more about what goes on in football, and what happens in hollywood than what happens in our great nation.

    This nation needs to be more concerned with the dumbing down of America in regards to "reality" and "freak-ality" television shows than with football. The sheer number of Americans watching trash tripe like AMERICAN IDOL show right where we are, intellectually, as a nation.

    of course. Corruption in government means we have to actually WORK to remove it. It will be difficult, they will fight back with all they can and those who speak up without the group behind them will be scrutinized and accused of tyrannical things. THAT is scary to people. They don't want the burden so they continue allowing it to happen.

    I can think of some countries were the corruption of government has definitely gotten the people's attention.But there are many riots regarding to sports.
