How many people have fallen off the unemployment rolls and are not being counted, how many people are still unemployed, how many people are in foreclosure, have you seen gas and food prices. How many people are on food stamps, how many business's have closed or moved their labor to china. I am still unemployed after almost a year and I did not receive unemployment. SHRINKAGE in the economy and Obama is the Head Shrinker. Join with me to Vote out Obama in 2012.

Republicants cannot stand the idea that we might be seeing the start of a turnaround. They would rather have the country fail if it means they have a better chance of gaining power. If they had only found a way to field any intelligent, competent candidates they probably would have had a good chance.

Republicans do want to see a turnaround, but they aren't so foolish as to believe were experiencing such a thing right now. And it is democrats who can't stand the idea of a turnaround and would rather everyone be dependent on the government for just about everything.

I think its 18.3% The fact that the 48 million + food stamp reciepiant numbers continue to rise this tells you the economy is getting worse. Inflation will outstrip food stamps ability to allay hunger this spring. This will be another chance for the Mahidi, I mean Obama to come riding to the rescue on a white horse(thats a triple entendra if you get it) and demanding an increase in food stamp funding. As long as they dont find out who caused their hunger in the first place,, they will worship him.

First of all the unemployment rate is at least up at 10%.Odumbo's phoney math does not fool me.I'm out in the real world doing business and I can tell you that the economy is not getting any better.At least not in my neck of the woods.

Yes, but not just because of unemployment figures. Manufacturing is up, exports are up, the dollar is relatively strong, my portfolio is looking awesome, consumer spending is healthy, the housing market is getting back on track, GM is doing well, America still leads the world in Aerospace, computing, software, television and film (yes, Hollywood, that industry so derided by Conservatives is an important export) and agriculture. So yes, I am omtimistic about the economy. We may well take a hit if and when the Euro collapses, but were doing ok despite what Rich Limbaugh is permitting you to believe,

Real estate is going down, debt is going up. The stock market is a false signal. There are less jobs than when obama took over for the cost of a $1 trillion borrowed money.

The economy is a disaster with debt and the horrible effects of health care, extensive debt, and the horrible job killing Dodd/Frank yet to take full effect.

We are headed to another recession....book it.

1.4 million people dropped out of the employment world before that came out. it hasnt dropped....the people that are still claiming unemployment dropped. real numbers around 15%. the window licking obama lover media can try and sugar coat it all they want but the people that are living it know the truth, they see friends relatives and so on still out of work and suffering. lies only carry so far for so long...

Primarily, because nothing is being done about the Deficit Spending that's occurring with the Federal Budget! NOTHING!!!! Neither Political Party is doing anything but 'Talk,' 'Obfuscate,' 'Finger Point,' & 'Blame Each Other!' Also, the "8.3%" number that is being thrown around to show that President Obama's Economic Plans are working is misleading at best. If one factors in the People that have "Given Up Looking For A Job," then the Unemployment Rate would be "16% to 18%." So, the current numbers are misleading. That's what is NEVER said! If those numbers were included, People would be demanding President Obama's Resignation from Office, right now! And don't think that they wouldn't!

The numbers do not reflect the whole picture. Once a person has fallen of the list, the numbers are changed. The Government needs to use common sense instead of playing with false parameters.

Get serious!! The real unemployment rate is at least 19% to approaching 40% depending on how many have simply given up looking for a job in post industrial Amerikkka . When you consider that ½ the world prison population is here in the U.S. it could be even more. Imprisonment is a substitute for Jim Crow for the most part. A living wage for all whether they work or not by lowering qualifying age for social security to 18 or thereabouts. There’s plenty money for this if we instigate Tobin tax on derivatives ,bring back tariffs ,and get rid of that preposterous ceiling on Social security taxes for the wealthiest.

When Americans stop looking for work they're no longer counted, that makes the numbers look good when they're not and this administration knows it but Obama will use anything to make himself look good. The last report also had lots of temp Christmas jobs included too.

The 'unemployment number' is a completely contrived stastical ... LIE. Millions are omitted from one side of the equasion to derive a false result on the other side. It's ALL propagandistic mumbo-jumbo.

Shadow Government Statistics, tracks these metrics in the way government USED to calculate them while it wasn't so thoroughly corrupt and 'Shadowstats' figures show a TRUE estimate of ... 22.5 percent.

This all comes about because government's idiotic banknote 'money' scheme perpetually creates more interest burden than society's productive capacity can possibly 'outgrow' beyond a certain point.

This is ALL government's fault! BOTH factions in collusion have enslaved The People in this debt-prison for nearly a hundred years. Worse, ALL governments, worldwide have copied this despicable pattern of economic enslavement of THEIR Peoples too!

they conveniently don't count the 1.2 million that have given up looking for jobs. it is disgusting that they can't use real math to tell the true unemployment rate. allen west said 2 days ago someone is cooking the books on unemployment. how can it go down when you have record high numbers collecting unemployment which keeps getting extentions. we have a record number of americans that are in the poverty category and collecting food stamps. we have record foreclosures and so on. now obama wants to cut the hazardous duty pay of soldiers fighting while he keeps his union buddies fat and happy. obama the man and i use the term loosely makes me sick to my stomach.

This does not account for all thsoe who have used up all their unemployment benefits & are now collecting food stamps or even welfare checks, Just what the POTUS want's. The true numbers are probably 16-20% depending upon the state. What about those who stopped looking for a job that is just not there. We the PEOPLE need to make a very needed real change for some real hope & that is to get OVOMIT OUT OF OUR W.H. In 2008 the masses voted for him to prove they were not racist now vote him OUT to prove your not an IDIOT !!! OBIE must go ~~ !!!!!!!!
