I've got a pretty thick skin here. I've only blocked one person, and that was because he very crassly blindsided someone on one of my polls. I can't remember if I still have him blocked or not. Other than a similar scenario, I won't block.

I haven't had to block just yet but I'm sure it will happen. After I give them some choice words. usually people provoke me into going at it with them just because they can't help but make sure they let me know I can't dislike something they like. -_-

Isn't it amazing how people can get so angry because you think differently about a subject than they do? It's like their entire life is wrapped up in whatever it is you don't like, and they take personal offense at it.

LOL exactly! I usually get the most unpleasant responses if I just so happen to say anything in the news and politics part of sodahead. I'm not a political person but sheesh! Talk about hostile territory lol.

If someone is harassing me, sending me rude messages, or purposely replying to my answers with rude comments multiple times. I don't block just because some one is mean once, or disagrees with me. And I haven't blocked anyone yet, cause no one has harassed me.

I block them if they block me why should I let them post things to me if I can’t post to them.
I only blocked one other person and for some reason he could not see his argument was 1. Aimed at the wrong person 2. He had no clue on what was really going on 3. He kept pushing an irrelevant fact 4. He refused to let it go after everything was said and nothing more to say how many times can one repeat something. This person was slow and pointless. and I even told him I respected his opinnion and stll he keept going.

I use to block trolls, socks, those who were rude but now I fight it out with them..I request and have gotten dual blocks on other Sodaheads..I don't like blocking..Sodahead moderators can break it up..LOL

i think blocking is pathetic and lame, like a few nights ago i responded to a question, and started a chat with the girl, i forget the question, something along the lines of feeling like an outcast or something. SO I start a friendly chat, nothing perverted or personal, just making conversation. next thing i know she blocks me all i did was ask why she thinks age is a big deal when talking to someone

I'd say I feel similarly. I don't hold anything so tight as to lose my cool over it. If someone becomes overly abusive or threatening, I might draw a line, but really, nothing here on SH is that important.

If someone harasses me, especially by messaging me, or if he gets too vulgar or insulting, he's blocked. It usually is guys. I only blocked one girl.

I haven't blocked anyone since no one has been like crazy stalker-ish (making insulting remarks on different opinions and your polls just for the hell of it). I've experience people rude yes, but generally they won't reply to you unless you keep talking to them
