RNC Chairman Michael Steele happy group, the RNC, put out research document claiming that the government would 'dictate America's end-of-life care'.

The RNC’s insurance provider has posted information on its website advising beneficiaries about the complicated questions that accompany decisions at the end of someone’s life.
Recently, the RNC has been urging lawmakers to support the anti-choice Stupak amendment, which would not only ban women on the federal exchange from using federal funds for abortion, but could bar employer-sponsored plans from offering the coverage. However, Politico reported this week that the RNC health care plan under Cigna has coverage for elective abortion services. Upon hearing the news, the RNC quickly opted-out of the abortion coverage, although its money is still indirectly subsidizing other women’s abortions.
Two contradictory findings on what the GOP says and what the GOP does have been discovered this week in health care alone. What's next folks?
Cigna, the RNC’s health insurance provider, also urges beneficiaries to think about end-of-life services. Cigna’s website has a page called “Care at the End of Life,” which covers topics such as how to talk with “loved ones” about “end-of-life choices” and whether to stop life-prolonging treatment:

As for the actual subject---not surprised---very hypocritical of them, but highly expected.
Abortion is a divisive issue that should be left to personal choice. It is proper for religious organizations to counsel their members on what is and is not consistent with their religious principles. Religious organizations should not be attempting to influence legislation. It wouldn't suprise me in the least if a substantial number of members of
Congress who oppose health care plans with abortion coverage have this coverage for themselves and their staffs.
Thank you Madelisa for keeping us well informed on these topics.
When churches get involved in lobbying activities, it seems to me that in many instances they are taking charitable contributions for religious purposes, which are tax deductible, and turning them into non-deductible political contributions.
Not death panels! Anything but death panels!
