SodaHead Infographics 2012/01/03 06:00:00
Last week we presented SodaHeads with some of the most popular infographics of 2011 to give you a chance to see them all in one place and to vote on the best one. Topics ranged from the appeal of "Angry Birds" to an enlightening breakdown of Facebook demographics, and each infographic took a unique approach to their design, making for a pleasantly vibrant selection of visual information.

But only one could come out on top, and the year's most popular infographic as selected by the SodaHead community was Infographic World's "Farewell to a Genius: The Life and Times of Steve Jobs." This remarkably gorgeous timeline takes viewers from the late Apple founder's birth in 1955 through his unfortunate passing on October 5, 2011, highlighting each of Jobs' legacies, from an early Pixar investment to the revolutionary development of the iPod. If you don't have time to dig into Walter Isaacson's biography, Infographic World's entry will catch you up on the essentials.

Of course, this wouldn't be complete without depicting how SodaHeads voted on the best infographic... with an infographic! So rest your eyes and enjoy the scenery in our Best Infographic of 2011 infographic. We look forward to another year of gorgeous graphics!

I respect Steve Jobs, and what he accomplished over the years. He became wealthy the Old fashioned way. He earned it. By hard work and good business savvy.

Which makes me wonder about the Occupy folks and their overall attitudes about the wealthy. Steve Jobs was worth something like 67 Billion Dollars, and they worship him.

He, as many smart businessmen are doing, sought to improve the bottom line by moving his production facilities to China. Where over 500,000 Chinese workers make all Apple Products.

So Is it not rather Hypocritic for them to condem some for being wealthy, and on the other hand worship someone else that got wealthy using the same methods? Do they as well think they deserve a piece of Steve Jobs wealth? Which he earned, they did not?

You didn't read what I said. Computers and electronics aren't the only things we make in China.

Conservative business owners and leaders have done the same thing. The result from both conservative AND liberal leaders and business owners doing this is millions of American's out of work and a ruined economy. It's a problem across the board not with just one or the other.

Which of your nieghbors did many things over their short lifetimes that changed the world in a significant way? He is a human being, yes, but he took the time he had and the tools he was given (and even those he created) and did more with them than 99.99% of the world's population. Not sure how you shrug that off.

Interesting - how many inventions have you created and how many books have you written lately? I guess you are a 1% person running a huge company employing thousands, I can see the similarities - No, you haven't done any of those things - really, um, wonder what your status truly is, maybe you are just another human being - some who make a difference in this world believe it or not are exceptional human beings...

Imagine if all these business men kept jobs here. There would be so many less unemployed people and our economy may not be in the toilet.

I can respect the fact that he did it the old fashion way and worked his ass off, but I can not respect anyone moving jobs overseas leaving thousands here at home unemployed. Millions of people here have lost jobs when companies moved all the jobs overseas. And then the companies wonder why they aren't making the same amount in sales and profits as they did before. Leaving all these people without work means less than can spend on your products.

We honor Steve Jobs because he's just and true, the American Dream. Most of the billionaires didn't make money by working for it. Much was inherited,( bootlegging like Joe Kennedy, tho' I like him , it was crime,) corporate raiding like in Pretty Women, the descendents of the carpetbaggers, corrupt banking institutions and their descendents, BP type corrupt polluting oil companies, and their CEOs that give $240 million to each other, every year and screw the worker, Jeb Bush, Dubya's brother, part of the Savings and Loan scandal that never paid for the crime, and there was about $10 billion or more that went missing in Iraq when Bush mailed cash over there. Most of the big money was made or snowballed in corruption, and then of course the bribes that run our government in favor of special interests. Planned obsolescence and corporate greed that destroyed Detroit's auto business, and American jobs. The honest workers like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, Oprah, and Paul Newman, Warren Buffett. want to make the world a better place and give back, are progressives, give to charities, and vote democrat. Warren Buffett says "Tax Me - raise my taxes." So we don't even have to expect them to give to the less fortunate. They volunteer. And God bless them.

rren Buffets Company is owing over 2 billion in back Taxes, dating back to 2002. He takes all the tax breaks, and loopholes, and keeps a big share of his money overseas to avoid taxes. As Jobs hired over 500,000 Chinese workers to avoid the high labor costs in the US, the wealthy keep their money overseas to avoid the second highest corporate taxes in the world. Warren Buffet is a hypocrite, and had you done some research you would know that.

Take time to watch this CBS 60 miniute segment and get the big picture. Billions of dollars that should be in the USA economy, sent overseas. Millions of Jobs that should be in the US, sent overseas.

You condem the wealthy, but seem to not realize that you go into business to make a profit. And as the owner of that business you want to keep as much of that profit as possible. Not give it to the Government to distribute to those that are not willing to invest time and treasure to succeed.

You do not get wealthy by being stupid, you get wealthy by working, and being smart with what you earn.

Contraty to popular belief, wealth is earned, not distributed. And in a society that expects redistribution, they soon run out of money to redistribute. And we are gatting there. When over 47% of earn...

When over 47% of earners pay no taxes, we are getting there. By the way that 47% is the lower 47%, not the other 53% that work to acruue wealth. and pay their taxes. .

k = means knowledge. This, which is printed, known as "infographics". I like what he invented, like:
iPod, iPad, iPhone, etc, as Apple brands. I own an old-model iPod; it still works perfectly. But I don't like what he did, economically speaking = the STEVEdoring of JOBS and production line in China.

Steve Jobs and Angry Birds won a lot of votes because of their popular subject matter -- they not only have lots of positive sentiment, but those subjects lend well to infographics. The "Sitting is Killing You" had some good health stats and provided the most useful data.
