'The Life and Times of Steve Jobs' Is the Best Infographic of 2011

SodaHead Infographics 2012/01/03 06:00:00
Last week we presented SodaHeads with some of the most popular infographics of 2011 to give you a chance to see them all in one place and to vote on the best one. Topics ranged from the appeal of "Angry Birds" to an enlightening breakdown of Facebook demographics, and each infographic took a unique approach to their design, making for a pleasantly vibrant selection of visual information.

But only one could come out on top, and the year's most popular infographic as selected by the SodaHead community was Infographic World's "Farewell to a Genius: The Life and Times of Steve Jobs." This remarkably gorgeous timeline takes viewers from the late Apple founder's birth in 1955 through his unfortunate passing on October 5, 2011, highlighting each of Jobs' legacies, from an early Pixar investment to the revolutionary development of the iPod. If you don't have time to dig into Walter Isaacson's biography, Infographic World's entry will catch you up on the essentials.

Of course, this wouldn't be complete without depicting how SodaHeads voted on the best infographic... with an infographic! So rest your eyes and enjoy the scenery in our Best Infographic of 2011 infographic. We look forward to another year of gorgeous graphics!

I respect Steve Jobs, and what he accomplished over the years. He became wealthy the Old fashioned way. He earned it. By hard work and good business savvy.

Which makes me wonder about the Occupy folks and their overall attitudes about the wealthy. Steve Jobs was worth something like 67 Billion Dollars, and they worship him.

He, as many smart businessmen are doing, sought to improve the bottom line by moving his production facilities to China. Where over 500,000 Chinese workers make all Apple Products.

So Is it not rather Hypocritic for them to condem some for being wealthy, and on the other hand worship someone else that got wealthy using the same methods? Do they as well think they deserve a piece of Steve Jobs wealth? Which he earned, they did not?

Did Sodahead's infographicotistas design this one during the New Years party? I don't even want to try to sort this one out.

I like that he worked hard for his money instead of giving it by the family already being rich. it is sad that he passed but he will always be remembered.

I don't think he's only great because of his inventions, no, his words means a lot more for me.
I start thinking of it. My only question is....Why his last words where "Wow, wow, wow." before he died?

STEVE JOBS WAS A GENIUS. LET THE WORLD WITH PEOPLE AROUND THE GLOBE ENJOY LIFE EQUALLY. THOUGH HE SENT HIS PRODCTION UNIT TO CHINA WITH AN AIM OF MAKING MORE PROFIT WITH CHEAP LABOUR, SOME POOR PEOPLE BENEFITED IT. ITS TIME TO THINK BROAD MINDEDLY. THE WORLD IS LIKE A FAMILY ALREADY. ALL THE NATIONS ARE CONNECTED ONE ANOTHER ONE WAY OR OTHER. EUROPEAN'S & OTHER IMPERIALISTS ENJOYED IN THE PAST BY COLONIAL RULE LOOTING THE WEALTH OF POOR ASIAN, AFRICAN & LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES, OR AMERICAN WAY OF DICTATING WITH ARM POWER ON OTHER COUNTRIES ,SELLING ARMS OR OTHER THINGS. THAT WORLD ORDER IS VANISHING. 21st CENTURY WILL SEE THE BALANCING OF ALL NATIONS OR PERISHING OF ALL

Steve Jobs and the rest of the LIBERAL computer inventors chose CHINA to manufacture their goods the AMERICANS BUY. Instead of making the UNITED STATES the world leader they chose CHINAs cheap labor. I think hes a POS.

Plenty of conservative leaders and business owners have done the same thing. It's a huge problem across the board not with one political party over the other. Both have valued making a quick buck and becoming super rich over the little people who got them where they are in the first place.
