A potty that’s also an iPad stand—is this something our kids really need? The makers of the iPotty, which debuted at CES 2013, sure think so.
Available in February for $40, the iPotty is a plastic potty for toddlers, which uses an adjustable rotating iPad stand to make the potty training process a little bit less terrible. Most importantly, it comes with a removable screen cover and splashguard to protect your tablet from accidental destruction.
Sure it’s an interesting gimmick, but do we really need to mix electronics with potty training? The American Academy of Pediatrics believes that children under the age of two should avoid screen time altogether and limit it to only a couple hours per day in the years after that. So is it really necessary to introduce an additional screen during bathroom time?
What do you think SodaHeads? Is the iPotty reasonable or ridiculous?

MOMMA THOMAS 2013/01/14 04:22:49Ridiculous+8EUUUWW! ....NEED TO TEACH THEM NOT TO USE THE iPAD IN THE BATHROOM... WASH HANDS, THEN USE iPAD IN ANOTHER ROOM.

Are they wiping ON the iPad? That'd give it some functionality.
