We all know the feeling: you're mingling at a BBQ and could really use a drink and some snacks... but you only have two hands and don't want to retreat to some dark corner just to get your nom on. Well, this brilliant yet oh-so-simple invention has come to the rescue. The GoPlate allows you to eat and drink at the same time, while also being able to mingle with friends at a social function.

Granted, it only works on bottled beverages for the time being, but c'mon: They're not miracle workers here! Do you think the GoPlate, which will cost you $19, is an awesome invention -- or is it kind of meh for your taste?

I don't usually drink out of bottles, and if I tried that, there is a greater chance I would drop it than a regular plate and cup.

Perfect way to walk around and still use the other hand. Slip the drink out when you want a bite and then eat as you wish. This is especially good for the Italians who talk with their hands LOL

$19 FOR AN UGLY INDUSTRIAL LOOKIN' PLASTIC "CONTAINER" WITH A HOLE IN IT? THAT'S MORE THAN SOME FINE CHINA DISHES, (WHICH I WOULDN'T USE AT A BBQ AS WELL.) ....NO THANKS! GO SIT DOWN, RELAX, EAT, DRINK....AND ENJOY. I NEVER INVITE MORE PEOPLE THAN I HAVE SEATS.

How does a person drink without spilling the food? Also, the food might make the drink warm. It's a good idea, but it's not perfect.

Mmmm....I bet it does.

Directions: Lift plate with free hand. Take sip. Replace plate on top of beer/drink and resume eating.

Yeah, I think people misunderstand the idea :-) its so you can carry a beer and plate and have a hand free to put food on the plate. When you drink the beer you remove it from under the plate.

Guess there is going to be a lot of food accidents lol.

Eh ...Guess its ok if you don't have a place to sit or have been sitting too long but people need to sit down when they eat. Thats the trouble people don't take take the time to sit and enjoy the simplest of task/ necessities like eating
