- Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
- Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
- Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
- Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
- Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
- Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
- Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
- Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
- Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
- Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

The world can adapt to anything if we let it and stop fighting things we have little or no control over.
I have said my peace like it or not.
It's sad how in 2012 millions are condemned for forming romantic relationships with the same-sex. It's nonsensical- how is it harmful to anyone? I was brought up in a homophobic household and turned out to be lesbian- you don't know how much I long for a world where sexuality doesn't matter. It could have been worse, but it was bad enough. How is attraction to adult humans in any way unnatural?
To me it is all a matter of moving along with the times. The critical people are the ones who are stuck in the past and don't want to change their thinking so you can see why they are bitter but if some folks would just be accepting of issues they really can't change everyone would get along better I think.
Here is something and I am going to post the same thing in answer to that flimsy article.
I have a grown daughter now who is 32 years old. She is bisexual. I didn't bring her up to choose this lifestyle and is why I really believe it is outer influences and friends that changed her as she grew up and lived life. I was a single parent when she turned 2 years old and she still had her father in her life even though we split up but no matter what she grew up with good values and just because she decided to be different didn't make me turn my back on her for it because she is still my kid. It is her life and she has to be happy so who am I to tell her she is wrong in the way she wants to live. I don't have to like it but I want what is best for her regardless.
