He literally walked into my life at the age of six months, 42 years ago. He lived with us for 19 years, and then died.
He was a classic tabby--orange-and-white-striped markings. We named him "Tiger," because his markings were closer to those of a real tiger than any other Big Cat.
I remember when he got some horrible infection in his liver. When he didn't have any get-up-and-go, we went straight to the vet, who showed us all the things that had happened to him. He was jaundiced, and had a liver that was not only swollen but tender. The vet gave him crude liver extract I.M., and then gave us antibiotic pills to give him. The trouble was that he didn't want to eat pills. You couldn't prize his jaws open for anything! So the vet prescribed capsules that we could take apart and mix in with his food. That saved him.
Then one time, we had to take him to a different vet. She had just gotten out of Texas A&M; Vet School. Well, she didn't exactly have a good "countertop manner," if you know what I mean. When she and her orderly put him back in his cage, he took one swipe and caught her, the orderly, and me, too. She tried to blame him, but I knew better. We found a vet who knew how to handle cats.
As he got older, he started to have the same problem with hardening of the brain arter...

As he got older, he started to have the same problem with hardening of the brain arteries that a human could get. He broke his training and blundered into walls. He must have known what was happening to him, and hated it. So one day he walked out on the high road and got clipped by a car. He died without a mark on him--probably killed instantly.
Rest in peace, good buddy, and thanks for nineteen and a half years of memories.

and if that's Mia, she's gorgeous!
thank you so much for answering!
my cat's all white with one blue eye and one brown. he's a monster rofl. ^_^
Skibby an orange tabby who is getting old he's 18 1/2. He is my street smart cat. He brings new meaning to the phrase a cat has 9 lives.
Axle a male gray tabby 6 y.o. My son brought him home after a friend found him living under his Mac truck on the axle. He's the Big Brother Boss Man in the house.
The three stooges they are Tuxedo's from the same litter and about 4 years old now. Pishi a girl, so pretty and prissy, loves coffee, Misha a male who wants to be my one and only man and Squirt a male who is always fun. He plays fetch like a dog, he steals my jewelry, will not drink out of the water bowl only from the sink. I took them from a guy who was going to throw them in the river to drown. Then I threw him in.
I would up load their pics but I can't figure out how to do it on SH?
as far as uploading pics... i think you click "add photos & videos" below your comment, then click "upload image" and then choose your file and all that jazz.
