My child and I had would have private time in the car, just us (not to say "our only private time" ) and I would pick my child up after work, and if there was incessant talking upon leaving the school building, I would say, "save it for the car ride home." I'd listen to the rants and raves, and I would never ever say that is wrong of you to vent this way or that way...just "you have your own mind" My child would want to hear this song all the time: (just saying). I applaud.
