Here at Tecca, we've seen some of the quirkiest vending machines imaginable. There's that vending machine for those who want an insta-wedding ceremony, Pepsi's interactive one, and that hand-cranked machine in Japan. Now, we've also found the antithesis to Coca-Cola's hug-machine: A vending machine that you need to tackle as hard as you can before it drops your can of beer.

This whole thing plays up to man's ego. Aggressive drunks are not funny and this only promotes it.

It's in a foreign country (Argentina) where A, they have lower drinking age (18), and B, alcohol isn't treated as it is in America.

Australia's drinking age is 18 too...in Netherlands it's 16. I've lived in both countries and never seen an alcoholic drink dispenser. Argentina is highly unique.

It's different strokes for different folks... in France there are vending machines for maggots in areas where fishing is popular and the least said about the Japanese vending machines that sell used women's panties the better!

I saw a vending machine with beer just outside Vienna in 1987, put $2 of coin in & get a 330ml can. I drank this in broad daylight, no one bothered, including a VW Golf with the word."Polizei" on it.

Not a very good idea. When people drink too much they don't feel as much pain,not to mention the increase in inhibitions. This could lead to a dangerous/deadly accident! On the other hand, it would be funny to watch! Lol!

I'm answering this for most of my friends, 'cause they'd love it! I hate beer, it upsets my stomach. But that doesn't make it "awful" for anyone else.

Tackling the vending machine is only worth it if you get a free drink out of it.

I kid, I kid.

But seriously? Not only do you have to pay, you also have to unleash your strength and hope to God that the machine doesn't malfunction (because a machine which is tackled by drunks of varying strength over and over isn't going to break at all) and you have enough strength to make it notice you.
