Support your local town's Fall Festivals!

These Fall Festivals ..
Most put on by numerous small towns and rural places around this nation of ours ..
Are not only fun to attend
(trust me .. it is always interesting to people watch!)
but they are also a way that local communities ..
establish as a CHARITY EVENT ..
To support Local NEEDS ..
Such as:
-- Food Banks/Pantries
-- Local Scholarships to the Community College nearby
-- Hospitalized/Sick Local Community Members
-- Lending Closets (for furniture, clothes, whatever is most needed overall)
Does your Community have one of these Fall Festivals in October Annually?
Does it include Local Costume Contests ..
Specific Designated Charity(ies)?
Do they have Food contests (for local restaurants/locals to highlight their offerings?)
Do they have FUN /entertainment/
(are there some locals who go 'all out' in volunteering this day?)
With Jugglers, Stilt Walkers, Make-up and .. people watching too ..
These are usually around Halloween ..
AND LOTS of Fun to go to!
(Take the camera .. some priceless images can happen right in front of you!)

- danal 2011/09/24 13:47:19YES .. I have a Fall Festival Locally!+2We have fests through out the summer and into the early fall. Indian Fest is down by the Lake, (Michigan) and Octoberfest in Eau Claire. The Fests are part of culture of Milwaukee.reply
