Of course not. I'd be flattered. I would reject his advance and be on my way. Why in the world would that make me uncomfortable? Are some men so insecure with their manhood that they are afraid that they may be convinced to become gay? Are some men so hellbent on being macho that they can't handle another man's affection? I know men are immature but, you guys need to learn to accept a complement... yes, even if it's from another man. Be flattered for crying out loud and then go your separate ways. However, if he harasses you that's a whole new ballgame. I wouldn't be uncomfortable even then, but I would become mean.

It just made me feel an uncomfortable because I didn't even know him. I don't think I'm insecure or anything, I just find it a little creepy.

Why do you find it creepy? I think that you must be somewhat insecure concerning your masculinity. Are you afraid that others may think that you are gay if you admit that you were flattered? Are you afraid that you are gay? Talk about it.

No, I don't really care what people think about my sexuality. I just don't like guys who I don't know complimenting my looks. It just makes me feel weird. I was trying to be nice to me and he was trying to be nice to me too, I guess. He thought I was a little rude. I did say thanks for the compliment but that was my first reply. My first reply was "I'm sorry, I'm not gay." I said thanks for the compliment later. He said the girls are probably fighting over you. I never have second thoughts about my sexuality.

Then why did you say what you said to me? I don't know this guy. I just never have had a guy compliment this way. That's probably why. So it could be more difficult to accept when I don't know the guy. I closed the question last night though.

My question to you was why you felt creepy or weird. I didn't know if you were being harassed or not. If it was a one time thing then my suggestion is to be flattered, accept the complement and move on. If it happens again then ask the person to stop and that you not interested. If it continues then beat the crap out of them.:))

That's hard to do over the internet and I apologized to him and everything is cool now. I considered it as sexual harassment at first. He just seemed creepy. I don't know how to explain it. I just think it felt creepy because the guy did it over the internet. I never have had anyone tell me it before. Well I have had girls but not guys whether I knew them or not.

If you are not gay and are clear about your personal identity, why is it still bothering you? I know compliments from same sex can be difficult to accept but are you sure that you aren't making more out of this then needs be?

This is an opinion site and I really wanted some opinions on this subject so I asked a question. I never have had a guy compliment me in this way before so I didn't know how to take it. It made me feel uncomfortable. I consider it sexual harassment especially since I don't know this guy.

well if he knows your not interested then yea i guess cuz hes in your buble but only as uncomfortable if a girl was hitting on me that i had no interest in. it happens.. ppl flirt sumtimes without realizing it, sumtimes its best to just be flattered that he likes you and try to forget about it.
