Honestly some people ought not to be allowed to breed. I grew up in a coal mining village in Scotland where the only time I heard the word Gay it was preceded by the "F" word. I grew up watching film, TV shows, seeing posters and listening to love songs all geared towards heterosexuality being how I ought to be.

The pressure all my life was intense and especially so when I was in my teens. Did I turn out straight? - NO. But apparently there are morons out there who think a little effeminacy in a kids cartoon will accomplish what the weight of society could not, decide a Childs sexuality. I'm telling you, they shouldn't be allowed to breed!

haven't seen any signs for that .. i mean, i haven's seen him kissing a girl or so either.. but it's a cartoon and it wuld be the same to say tom & jerry are gay ...don't think it's worth thinking about that

ohh well, Spongebob is one of the only cartoons i sit down to watch with my kids. So far I still scratch myself, fart, and drink beer. I'll let you know if i start matching my shoes with my belts and switch to wine.

I've seen the show a million times, and I have seen more than a handful of episodes where he acts feminine or takes on fem. roles.

Like one where he and Patrick find a baby clam and take it in, Patrick plays the father and Spongebob plays the mother, dressing like a girl and doing house work, depicting a stay t home mother with a husband[patrick] who goes to work and makes the money.

But i don't know.
I think its all in good fun.
I don't really see a seriousness behind it.

what is wrong with a child watching spongebob! I dont believe he is gay, or straight for that matter. the show isnt intended to teach children about sexual relations. Its a show about having fun, being a friend, and being a good worker. if anything this show can link straight and gay people. maybe straight people should do the things they want to do without limiting themselves because what they feel they are doing is "gay". and then people can truly live their lives happily
