Someone commented that on one of my questions. Like why do all the old people on this site take their questions so seriously. Like the old people on another site I used to be on made the funniest questions, so I don't get it. What's wrong with them?

    Maybe it's not a matter of taking questions 'so seriously'.

    For example, in one day I have over 200 shared questions.
    If the ones I consider silly, "stupid", frivolous, or a waste of my time are being generated by a friend on my list, it makes sense to unfriend them so that they don't show up on my Shared Questions list.

    Don't take it personally.
    Some people have better things to do than sort through or read 'stupid' questions.

    That wasn't a very 'nice' comment to make, no doubt. Many people do get frustrated, though, by the amount of questions people they've accepted as SH friends share. It would be nice, if folks would pay attention to that share box, that SH has decided to randomly check FOR us. The questions don't stay deleted, often.
    I'm pretty sure, that annoyance over the sharing of questions others choose to answer, is not exclusive to "old people". : )

    This is just the way that SH works, we ask, answer and share the questions we want. If someone has a problem with that, they should rather leave than attacking innocent SHs (they're not responsible for the SH system), or cancel their old account, and make a new one without adding / accepting any friends.

    Some of us are here to relax and have fun, others want to discuss more serious topics. Nothing wrong with that, it's great that everyone can find something they like.

    I left SH for a couple of hours the other day. When I logged back on a couple of hours later, I had 92 questons. When I see 2 dozen questions such as 'How old are you?', 'Do you own a watch?' 'Do you have a cell phone?' and they come from 1 individual, I end it.

    I can understand the sentiment. I have about 200 or so friends on here, and just over 6000 shared questions. I have tried to keep up with them before but it's just impossible, The only way I could answer all my shared questions would be to drop the handfull of people who share a ton of (mostly pointless) questions. Now I just ignore my shared questions altogether.

    I cleared my shared questions last night and now I have over 550 shared questions. I have already dumped several friends because they asked and shared far too many questions. From the looks of my shared questions, maybe I should re-evaluate my friends again and dump a few more.

    I lost a friend recently for that same reason. I don't share my comments but SH shares them for us. Which is not fair. I get a lot of shared questions, but it's no big deal to me, I just delete them and go to the next one.

    I got a PM from someone saying the same thing. Not nice to group them all as old. Some of the old people on here have been quite nice.

    I told the person who PMed me so rudely, that I was glad they unfriended me and to quit being so bossy.
