Since you posted a song by Supertramp,I'LL share my favorite anecdote about that band. Some years back, while they were on tour,A guy noticed a group of guys speaking with a British accent having lunch in Blueberry Hill, a very popular local bar and grill. He goes over to the guys and verifies that they are indeed from the UK,so he asks why they're in town. They answer that they're here for the Supertramp concert that evening. He marvels that they must be really dedicated fans of that band to come all of the way from the UK to see them perform in St. Louis. They laugh and reply to the guy,"We ARE Supertramp!" ;-))
I know! It seems rather silly to me how a guy who used to be on the leading edge of utilizing the internet to keep his fans in the loop, suddenly decided that he doesn't want his music posted on youtube. Go figure.
I love Ray Charles' version! I wish they'd make it the national anthem! Then they could just play the cd or video, and we'd avoid having nervous singers flubbing lines and other such nonsense, like Roseanne Barr's antics!
