No, that's not true. Satanists worship themselves, not an absent or non-existent God.
I've read their Bible and you haven't, so you're judging them by their name and what you 'think' you know about them. That opinion is one of ignorance, as you haven't taken the time to learn about them or understand why they reject your religion and embrace their own.
Despite what some people would have you believe, Satanists are not bad people, have never persecuted anyone, burned anyone at the stake, drowned anyone, condemned anyone or started any wars, but guess which religion has...
You can choose to deny it if that means you can still cling to your beliefs, but that only suggests that you have no confidence or faith in the history of your religion.
You can't rewrite recorded and proven history, the truth is the truth.
Christianity has caused more hate and division amongst mankind than Satanism could ever be responsible for. That's a fact, sorry.
2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
If you have faith in God you are supposed to feel safe in the knowledge that no matter what happens you will go to Heaven, right?
If that's the case, why worry about whether someone is going to kill you?
To kill in self-defence is not showing faith that when you die you'll go to Heaven and be taken care of by God, it shows fear of mortality and the only reason to feel fear is because you don't fully believe or have faith in God and Heaven.

Deuteronomy 17:2-7 (King James Version)

Those words are in the Bible and you have a reference direct from a Christian website confirming it.
Matthew 10:34-36 (King James Version)
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Accepting your fate as the will of God and having faith that you'll soon be in Heaven is not "tempting God", it's what Christians are told to do. :o)
