Why does the Sodahead Staff hate Liberals?

Over the weekend, I had submitted a blog which had more responses than the top question on Page 1 of the HOT list. As the night went on, and I continued to get more responses, my question was moved from Page 2, to page 4. The next time I looked for it, it was on Page 12. In 19 hours, it had more activity than the Number 1 Question on Page 1 of the HOT list, which was going into it's second day and receiving little activity.

Why does the Sodahead Staff hate Liberals?

My blog has over 900 opinions, but never got the exposure that other questions with less activity received. I had to go to other questions and post the link to my question; that's how I got so many responses.

So I ask, why does the Sodahead staff hate Liberals? Do they want us to leave? Is there any shame, at all, in Sodahead staff's obvious attempt to control the agenda on what is described as:

Sodahead is not being honest with the public. There is only one angle that is promoted on Sodahead, the agenda of Conservatives.

Hello,

Some members may feel that SodaHead is the site of an epic battle between left and right, where the only important content is political content from the left and right, and every action taken by SodaHead is influenced by some perceived politlcal "bias" that favors one political party over the other.

When we make decisions about changes to the site, or decisions on what to feature on the rotating "carousel" pages, politics doesn't enter the picture. Why would we want to alienate an entire political party and drive them away from the site? That wouldn't be good for our traffic.

The questions you are referring to have worked it's way to the 'Hot' section because of an alorithm that allows fresh/active stories with the most raves, comments, votes, replies, etc. Users voted them to the top -- SodaHead has no control over this. Questions with time stamps of 3-4 days older may not appear on the first page of the Hot section. Content that violates the Code of Conduct may be removed by SodaHead.

As always, please continue to produce good content and share your views with everyone -- there's room here for everyone's opinion, as long as we respect each other.

That;s a very good questions. I can't believe the venom that comes (mostly) from the right. they seem to view it as their very own playground. I also don't understand why some posts are not moderated and blocked because of their abusive language. Mind you, I am no saint and don't want a 'cleaned up' version but some stuff just goes too far.

I think that the word hate is very strong.Liberal people are dangerous because of they they approach issues in every day life.They generally refuse to see what is really happening, they mostly interprete events and contentious issues in a way that is difficult to understand.They also view themselves as being progressive and free thinking.This inevitably has catastrophic results in the parenting situation as well as the political situation.

Perhaps they did give them a thought when they gave examples of unalienable rights such as the right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And in the 5th amendment they clearly stated no person shall forfeit their life, liberty, or property without due process. How does a person have his life taken; due process demands them to be found guilty of 1st degree murder by a jury of their peers...so an innocent person (an unborn child) can NEVER legitimately have their life taken from them.

I don't see it as the Sodahead staff hating liberals, rather in my experience on this site over the last couple of months, it seems that conservatives are more vocal about their hatred of liberals. I don't see nearly as many slurs, insults, and slams against conservative points of view as I do against liberal ones. In fact the term libtard is thrown around on this site in discussions that have nothing to do with political ideology.

I relate to neither the liberal nor the conservative ideology. I am more middle of the road and think that both the liberals and the conservatives need to get off of their high horses and start listening and talking to each other instead of insulting each other. There's a lot of middle ground that people share that is just ignored because of a belief in one subject or another.

I think Conservatives hate liberals because they have a diametrically opposed perspective. Conservatives think the object of the Olympic games is to find that .000001% the best of the best. They also like to prove that that Capatalistic cauldron of competition proves USA is superior to communism and the principles of cooperation, compromise. Silver medalists should slit their wrists. Liberals go to the Olympics because they like getting together with old friends every four years and making new ones and testing their abilities. Doesn't really matter who wins to liberals. The complete because they love the game and they love the world community. The conservative believes they literally are responsible for ruling the less inferior masses. They are the wolves herding and culling the weak, elderly and sick of the sheep herd. This is why social security , universal healthcare is an anathema to them. Its unnatural in their point of view. .You can't have a superior herd of sheep if you cure the sick, the elderly and the disabled.

A liberal would give the runt of the litter to his child as a pet. A conservative would bash it over the head , dip it in batter and fry it up for lunch. Its all perspective.

I'm sure that "Liberals" and "Conservatives" in the U.K. are identical, since the U.S. never really gained its independence from England. I can't speak for the U.K. although I'm sure this is the case there. "Liberal" and "Conservative" are meaningless names created to keep the people fighting among themselves over non-issues. The talking media heads of both are controlled by the same people (think CFR, TC, Skull & Bones, Rhodes Scholars, etc.). Those groups are, in turn, controlled by international finance.

In like manner you'll hear people on SodaHead arguing over which party, Republican or Democrat, is best. Their energy is wasted. The whole purpose purpose of the "two" parties is to make people think they actually have a choice, but no matter which party controls the White House or Congress nothing changes. I have little doubt but that is the case with England's political parties. I'm sure the "Round Tables" rule.

When I first joined various "discussion" groups years ago, I was called a Rep and a "con" and a lot worse by "liberals" and a Dem and a "lib" by and a lot worse by "conservatives" because my posts didn't conform to that approved by either "side."

Generally speaking, I've found liberals to have a pretty good grasp on who the enemy is - Big Business. Big Business controls the government. But when I'd ask, "What's the answer?", I'd be told we have to give more power to Congress to control Big Business. Duh! If Big Business controls the government, why give more power to government?

Conservatives on the other hand, could see that Big Government is a problem and would call for deregulation and less government, but they refused to see Big Business as the power behind the government. They would defend the Plutocracy to the death thinking they were defending "free enterprise." Few on either side realize that "free enterprise" went our with economic royalist Hamilton's First Bank of the United States.

BTW, most of those people who are calling each other brain-washed sheep are probably right.

This is a propaganda site designed to promote conservative hysteria and misinformation. In the early days of this site, some of the staff used to ban liberal Sodaheads from answering some of the official Sodahead polls just to stack the polls in favor of conservative answers.

Because the sodahead staff are right wing conservatives, they protect all these RWNJ's who do nothing else but insult and patronize liberal posters , because they are their little friends (very possibly also their SOCKPUPPETS)

I hope Fef is reading this. Sodahead is supposedly a business. If he cares about business more than his own beliefs, he should be more neutral. Longtimers on here are always up against this. That said: SH is gracious in many circumstances, But yes, they do promote non-neutrality. I can't get why... from a business point of view.

Face it, SH is a Conservative biased site and so most of the Cons. that create blogs get the most raves. Plus most of these same people have the majority of the LIbs. blocked also.

Why blocking people? I know it happens since about 3 - 5 people banned me (and I wasn't the one being abusive). Surely, the idea of a site like this should be dialogue not a never-ending monologue of people who think the same anyhow.

I agree with you, and I think I know how they achieve the conservative bias.

The ones who get to the top block people who disagree and so their raves go to the top. This attracts more like minded people and filters out disagreement....

What they say they are and what they really are, are two different things.
