I've seen people more interested in what level they are and how fast they can get to 20. The "newcomers" should be welcomed. The gurus express an opinion agree or disagree. learn from it. The newcomers might need a little less bite if thats a good word.

It does seem to me that the Level system has encouraged people to climb the ladder to the top level. If you really want to know who the key people are, watch the Leaderboard.

I don't know the numbers but newcomers are probably a relatively constant number while Gurus are constantly growing. So after 6 or however long it has been I would expect that Gurus would now be more than newbies.
