Sodahead opinion polls only have 'yes' and 'no' choices. Annoying or no problem?

Have you noticed that Sodahead site polls only have a 'yes' and 'no' choice to answer their polls? I have been criticized for not having a third choice, 'undecided' in my polls. Are you annoyed when you don't have a third choice when responding to polls?

Annoying--YES! Sometimes clicking on either one results in my telling a partial untruth. I know I can refute it in my comment, but I still feel uncomfortable. Often I just leave the site.

But worse is when they have a bunch of one sided choices.

A bit of both. Sometimes it is quite annoying because I don't agree with any of the alternatives. Sometimes I agree with the options. I would have picked a third option if there was one for this poll.

Not if the dichotomy is employed properly, as here.

You mean, like this one? An "Other" option added would be better than undecided. Sometimes, the answer really is BOTH.

I mean that Sodahead wants either a 'yes' or 'no' answer. An 'other' option would be great if Sodahead would add it.

I have been criticized for not adding 'other' or 'undecided'. I did it because the questions were really a clear 'yes' and 'no' question. I was forcing the responder to pick an either-or. I now apply a third option.

Annoying... I know a few others who do this too... It's good for gaining stats but horrible if you hate backlash as most of your stats will come from people posting just to ''set the record strait''. I wonder if this will get 404'd for mentioning SodaHead directly as a user?

The people who put up the questions need to have a third or fourth option--sometimes yes or no doesn't exactly work.

Usually Annoying because many questions or issues do not lend themselves to either or answers.

Yes because some of the answers don't make since. Having an undecided or other generic choice would make answering a lot easier.

I don't answer lots of questions because I don't want to be counted in either camp.

There are lots of times my answer would be "I would except for..." or "I don't know enough to be that sure..." or something like that.

I know "Undecided" can be a cop-out, but Y/N doesn't always work. One size doesn't always fit all.

Otoh, I often don't answer questions when the Y/N answers have an explanation which I disagree with because I don't want to be tarred with the author's brush.

You mean like this one? I call it frustrating in a way, as sometimes I don't see that clear yes ,or no answer relating to my interests in the subject .another option should be available for people to consider.

I don't know. I can't really answer THIS QUESTION; as there really ARE NOT enough Choices for Answers . . . Which, btw, seems to be some kind of characteristic of SodaHead . . . And to be honest with you, I think that sometimes that is annoying; however, SodaHead is what it's all about. If you can't stand the proverbial heat then obviously the proverbial kitchen is not your most accomodating room.

[I answered this Question this way in order to stress a point. Please, SodaHead, don't change. SodaHead has Character!!]

Totally annoying. Life is not that black and white. In fact, in practice I have begun boycotting those people who send me questions with only "yes" or "no" options. You've all been put on notice.

Even with a "Yes" or "No", you can still get your opinion out there, either add a comment or post a question of your own...there are two sides to every coin, and sometimes you want to present your opinion or reasons why you chose what you did...
