I don't give a fig about the leader board. But I have to agree that what is dominating the leader board at the moment is totally wrong......and should be stopped! I haven't got a clue what is going on, but I am right behind you guys(holding the coats of course).

Why should people get votes if they're not active with the site? The leader board system is pointless.

and "anonymous votes" shouldn't count for ranking or anything...

I agree but they won't ... not unless most Sh users rise up against it (and I don't think they will as a whole)... so if anything is gonna change there needs to be a new system suggested that's better and will make them happy and the users happier.

Widgets shouldn't be allowed to count for rank.

Plain and simple, the leaderboard is meaningless and is beneath notice.

What a crock! I wonder how much money is in the revenue stream for SH from South America? Leaderboard doesn't mean squat, the guy's got one friend and very little of anything else.

Especially since I still have 9,000 points away after all these years from getting Guru because I don't cheat. This too me is why the point system is meaningless.

Stop bitching because you can't read Espanol, or English for that matter. Are you that insecure that you actually care how you are "ranked" with every other attention whore on this site? Besides, frothing and spitting at the computer in a fit of rage does not constitute as "contributing."

I don't give a crap what I am ranked..I brought up legitimate points to us who don't like the Leaderboard and us who do..Believe me I could really game the system if I want too..I don't do what it takes to get points..I don't spam questions all day..I don't add people off the leaderboard anymore..I don't share that many blogs, those that I find interesting I do..I join groups but not just to add points..I don't do poll widgets..The point I am making is that this dude is not active on this site and its BS..I call it BS when its BS..Personally I wish that get rid of the damn leaderboard..I don't need it for influence..I got my followers and they rave the hell out of me..I can got get top comments when I want them and I can get others top comments that deserve them...That is influence! LOL

When a Poll widget is used on an external site it may bring high volumes of activity.

Poll widgets allow anonymous votes. This means that people from an external site voting on the poll do not have to register to vote.

While the poll widget may receive many votes, most of those users never come here to add their comments. Therefore, you will see fewer comments.

In the case of the user you mention, he uses his SodaHead account to embed Poll widgets on his own website. His poll widgets get a lot of traffic (1,000+votes on each question), which means that he earns a lot of points from votes, but he isn't as active on SodaHead proper -- which is why his rave count is low.
