I'm curious...

How are featured questions selected? Are there employees who read all questions and select them? Or is it done by computer generator? Like certain key words or just random computer selected?

Beats me ~ I will be very interested to see what answers might be given. I've wondered this more than once myself.

Well they are certainly not what you would call the most intellectual nor for that matter the most interesting and they all seem to be chosen from the same grouping of people. it has also come to my attention that on many day's the same person seems to have several featured questions on view at the same time.

Some are good Joe. It's actually kind of easy to get on the long list, because if you ask enough questions each day you will likely land at least one there. But the big featured ones, where you get an email notifying you from SH is the one more difficult to get. I've had it a few times, but that's it. Those tend to be good ones too.

I asked a question concerning the issue of pedophiles on SodaHead, and the question was deleted. It almost seemed as though the moderators of this site were trying to cover up for them, and that made me extremely angry. I would like an explanation as to why this happened.

Did you ask the question "generally", or did you name a particular person or group, as one in your Question? Something with that kind of topic could be inflammatory right out of the gate if it got personal or accusatory.

I didn't name anyone in particular, I was completely general.
