The liberal woman i know personally would be as outraged about sharia law being used in this country as I am and their logic works just fine so i'll politely disagree.
Maybe if they had to wear a burka for a few months and not allowed out of their homes without an escort by a male relative, they just might get the idea...
agreed - If they had to wear one for a few weeks even they would have a different outlook. I wore 1 for 1 week and what a difference. I wore one here in the states as well - and what a surprise that there was such a confusion from others as well as a disbelief from them as to the fact that people are really subjected to that horror - they try and put it out of their minds - if they don't mind it doesn't matter. We need to stop being so self centered as a society!
I wonder how women will feel when they see men defending them selves in court for battering their wives and girl friends by taking refuge in religious rights for doing it.

Good Grief .. I wouldn't wish that on my enemies ... (I know there are so many who are unaware of what Women in Other cultures endure every day of their lives (and lives that can be sadly, callously, horrifically foreshortened)).
Depends on your definition of "taste" but I do have a problem with any person or group that tries to speak on a subject on which they are woefully ignorant.
