MEET THE SODAHEAD STAFF

SodaHead's 15-part series spotlighting our dedicated team of content junkies, marketing mavens, product gurus, and suits (just kidding; no one wears suits here — unless the investors come over).

This week, meet Jillian, SodaHead's Lifeline.Jillian moved to Los Angeles after graduation in 2008, with a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Delaware. She volunteered to teach homeless children in Morocco in the spur of a moment which changed her life forever. Jillian is now responsible for keeping our executives and other staff organized. She holds the company together, whether by filing, scheduling meetings for our CEO, answering the phones, processing payroll, or anything else that's needed. SodaHead wouldn't be able to run without all of her contributions.

Feel free to send Jillian a message if you have any questions or need any help on SodaHead.
Meanwhile, here's a list of some of her favorite things.

News & Politics

Best Cable News Outlet: Fox or MSNBC?

I'll turn on the Daily Show for kicks.

Best Online News: Yahoo! News or Google News?

CNN, ABCnews, Google, Yahoo etc. I prefer to jump around. That way I
feel like I can get a broader perspective of what's going on.

When was the last time you voted Republican?

Never have. But I keep an open mind at every election.

When
was the last time you voted Democrat?

2008.

Entertainment

Favorite Music?

I love all types of music. From the big band genre to country (yes, I
genuinely can appreciate some country) all the way to classic rock and
hip hop. I've also been known to rock out to some Rick Astley and
other '80s one-hit-wonders.

Team Jacob vs Team Edward?
Oooh, tough one. I'm going to say... Team Whoever Comes Out On Top?

Ellen or Oprah?

Temperance Brennan on the TV show, "Bones." She's sassy and hilarious.

What was your first concert?

Haha! Well...back in 1997, I went to a 98 Degrees concert. I was 11, so
let's not judge. But the best concert I've been to was a Simon & Garfunkel performance at the Madison Square Garden in 2002. Absolutely amazing.

Living

Dogs or Cats?

I really love dogs, but have never owned one. I have cats back home in NJ with my family.

Liquid Soap or Bar Soap?

Liquid soap with a loofa. Bar soap doesn't really do it for me.

Beer or Wine?

Not a fan of beer. I'll have a glass of Riesling once in a while though.

iPhone or Blackberry?

HTC Incredible? Can that be an option?

What's Your Favorite SodaHead Channel?

Back in the day it used to be News, but I think I've switched over to Living now.

You!

I went to the University of Delaware for a year as an exchange student. Very pretty school. I worry about anyone who wants to repeat FDR's New Deal and that's what we've got and you are a part of it. Scary!

    I have a question:

Since youre introducing us to the staff, and were becoming friends and all, does this mean that SH staff is going to start listening to us when we have a suggestion or when we dont like something? Were usually ignored for the most part.

    nice to meet you ...

But I do have a question -- how can one have an /open mind/ if all they do is vote along one line with a D behind it???

Personally -- I have serious questions of any candidate ... no matter what -- and amongst the FIRST that I ask .. is do they UNDERSTAND The position they are a candidate for .. what are the rights/responsibilities of that position .. what are the checks/balances against that position .. can they tell me the business base .. what about an understanding of the CITIZENRY .. and the bureaucracy/laws that are existing ..BEFORE they propose any NEW laws .. or open their mouths and show their IGNORANCE and LACK of Reading skills (basic education)!

For me .. it is NOT the INFOMERCIAL that should be the decider (or a straight party line) -- really expand well beyond the Biased Media (which basically hae the same entertaining content .. and Daily Show is only Entertainment .. it is nowhere near /news/ by any stretch of the imagination).

AH .. well .. but that is MY age and life experiences showing!

I can see we have allot in common. We should consider dating and starting a family, maybe move far away, where it will just be you, me, our cats, a good tv with all the news stations, and plenty of Riesling wines ( I like Two Sisters).

.......... oh, shhhhhhh! My wife just walked in the room.

YES DARLING, I'M CHECKING ON OUR STOCKS, I'LL BE IN THERE IN A MINUTE.

......... sorry, my cover is blown. Maybe another time or dimension.

This meeting the SH staff is starting to get exhilarating! ;)

Feeling like you have to apologize for liking country, tends to label you as a effete
snob. Maybe I am wrong, but I like all music except rap but I don't apologize
for any of it........I just think I am lucky to enjoy so many different sounds, and I
have to be in the mood for a particular sound, whether it be opera, Broadway, jazz and everything between those and country........except rap!

agreed! We're all lucky to enjoy so many different types of music. That's the beauty of music in general. That being said, every time I've mentioned that I like country music, I undoubtedly get weird looks, eye rolling, rude remarks etc. So I figured I'd guard against it this time. :)
