I will not give a rave to the original poster, since SodaHead Staff is inconsistent in its application of the TOS.

It looks like something I would like to share or ask questions!

Why does SH let people post questions in Arabic and other foreign languages, when the rest of us have no clue whether they are complying with SH Terms of Use or SH Code of Conduct ? If you can't screen it and translate it for the rest of us, I'd say you HAVE to limit posts to English. Got a brain ?

The link you provided was deleted due to spam activity and (or) other violations of the SH Terms.

However, SH allows questions written in foreign language that do not violate the Code of Conduct.

What if someone posts a question that is written in other languages?

Let me ask, just where does the use of the "F" word fall. Several of us had a long conversation about the use of that word in the context of one person telling another to "F" off. Is that prohibited or not?

Thanks, but that did not answer my question. I shall try one last time. Are the most offensive curse words like the "F" word covered under the NORMAL code of conduct? I am looking for an answer to settle a discussion of whether your code of conduct would outlaw the vilest of cuss words. Can you answer that?

It depends on the context. If you're using profanity as a way of expressing an opinion it's less likely to be a TOS violation, but if you're using profanity to attack another user that's definitely something that should be reported. :o)

I see, is that the word of experience? LOL I have so many times seen people who call others some of the vilest words, not using to express a point, but to personally attack someone, yet they remain.

Pretty much, I can only go by my own experiences, the profanity filter is there for people who are genuinely offended by profane comments and don't wish to see them, but unless a profane comment is reported to SodaHead they'll be unaware of it's existence and it will remain. Many people don't bother to report TOS abuse. Like I said, I think it comes down to context, some words can be overlooked and other times it really does need to be reported and SodaHead will often moderate out particularly offensive words.

I myself don't use profanity as I have no trouble expressing myself articulately, but I also don't have a problem with others who use it to make their point, as long as it's not constant and unnecessary, then it can put me off wanting to correspond with that user.

I stay away from profanity too. It shows ignorance more then makes a point.

is there a way of reporting a particular user?? if so, could someone please tell me??

You need to load the comment you're reporting (that's the "permalink" SH refers to in its reply to you) because SH won't search through a question for language even if you quote it directly. Been there...

Wow! This alone should wipe out a bunch of users on here. There would be way less if all personal attacks were reported.
