Basically, yes. But I don't like being around inexperienced snow drivers because they're dangerous! But I do like the temperature and the overall "quietness" that snow brings with it.
Especially when it is pristine ,clean and UN trampled. So very beautiful.I remember making snow angels, sledding, attempting to ski, sliding down hills in trash lids. Oh those were fun days.
To some degree. It sucks on the wallet, power outages, and gas budget(via leaving car idol for several minutes daily for winter months), but it can be fun at times.
I don't mind snow at all. The only bad thing about it is driving in it. That can be a bit nerve wracking. Otherwise, I actually like snow. It looks beautiful and it's fun. I haven't seen snow for 3 years since we moved to Thailand. I really miss it. I'm sick of the extremely hot, humid, oppressive weather here. I can't wait to see some snow this year after we move to New York! :)
To be completely honest, I hate it. Other than the oppressive heat, it's just a very dirty place. The outside air is just incredibly polluted and stinky. You can literally see the dust hanging over the streets. They don't have rigid laws here regarding cars and pollution, so I see cars and buses every day that are just spewing black smoke out of the muffler. I think that when Thai people show a foreigner a photo of Thailand, they show one of the secluded beaches. They don't tell you how dirty most of Thailand actually is. They don't tell you that you will be sharing the dirt covered sidewalk with cockroaches and rats. They leave out the fact that Thailand has the highest prostitute population in the world. It's just unpleasant. I cannot wait to get out of here in July!
Have I made you wanna come to Thailand at this point? Haha. ;)
To be honest, me thoughts on Thailand were pretty bad (in some ways maybe worse than you have said) even before reading what you said. I just don't have positive thoughts on the place (though I've never been and don't know anyone that has, I've just heard too many bad things).
Also you might want to limit the mean things you say about it until you get out of there. You never know when some internet official will search and see it and then try to give you a hard time when you try to leave... I have no heard Thailand doing that, but i have heard of other places doing that. Not trying to be mean... just saying there are mean people like that out there. And no all places have the rights that the US has.
Oh, don't worry. We've lived here for three years, so we've figured out at this point what you can say and can't say. You're right, we don't enjoy the freedom of speech that we have in the US or my husband's country (Japan). But, I didn't mention anything that is off-limits. There are some Americans in prison here, though, because they said negative things about certain people. You do have to be careful about that.
Good :) cus I don't have a clue where the limits are for every there :) just trying to make sure no one crosses them :) But yeah that area isn't some place I thought about visiting.
I'm trying to remember... is komodo dragon in there part of the world?
I don't believe that the komodo dragon has much of a presence in Thailand, but I do think there are some in Indonesia. There may be some komodo dragons at zoos in Thailand, but that may be about the only place you can see them here. I think they have a very strong presence in Australia, actually. Which doesn't surprise me much, since just about every strange creature can be easily found in Australia. ;)
Thanks. I didn't think they were on Thailand when thinking about it but I couldn't remember where. Found a little map of it. They're not on Australia thankfully ... but those things are down right deadly. :(
I used to have to drive in it. The funny thing to watch is the people that think they have enough traction to speed. In the old days you will see cars harmlessly bouncing off each other. If someone is going to fast that does not happen.
