By popular demand (of one person), who's your favourite out of these two, who are both technically nu-metal, but couldn't be more different (slipknot any time personally).
Ok, Slipknot (altho not my all time favorite band) is far better than Limp Bizkit. Korn is better than Limp Bizkit. Marilyn Manson is better than Limp Bizkit. Disturbed is better than Limp Bizkit....wow, there are really alot of bands that are better than Limp Bizkit....
If anyone cares to disagree, feel free, but I'm pretty sure the only time Limp Bizkit hasn't sucked was with thier "Significant Other" album. Nobody knew who they were before, and nobody cared afterwards.
Choclate Starfish practically killed thier carrer! The name alone was enough to send me running in the opposite direction!
Besides, when was the last time they dropped an album that anyone cared about? 2000?
To be honest, Nookie and Break Stuff was probably thier best songs. Rolling was just overplayed.
Chocolate Starfish had more variation in their lyrics, and showed more of the guitarists' talents. Not saying their latest album wasn't good, but it wasn't AS good as chocolate starfish
None... if I need to stick to this broad genre, I'd say Disturbed 4 Life!!!
Disturbed released 5 studio albums and 1 compilation of bonus work in 10 years, and it's safe to say that you instantly feel the difference in each one's style. To me, this is how you recognize a great band, even if you don't like their signature music.
Actually that is exactly why I said "broad genre". I should've been more specific, I meant mainstream metal, not genres like nu metal or heavy metal :)
All 3 of these bands belong to the mainstream side of metal, and in this category, Disturbed and Korn (especially the old lineup) are by far my favorite and the most talented in my opinion.
Let's just agree to disagree on this one. Disturbed is (in my opinion) one of the greatest bands EVER (besides, no musician sounds the same live as they do on a track). I'll grant you that they aren't nu-metal, but nu-metal isn't as big as it was in the 90s anyways.
Slipknot hands down....LB's first 2 CD's were great, but after that they just faded away musically, and crumbled.....LB got worse....Slipknot only gets better every effort...But now it will be hard to look at Slipknot the same without Paul
