I say yes because Im against censorship, but it really should be up to the developer. Like I tip my hat to Bethesda for making it impossible to kill children in Fallout and Elder Scrolls.

It's not like you really want to kill people if you kill people in a game, so it's not like you would really kill a child if you kill one in a game. I wouldn't enjoy it if it was actually necessary in order to proceed, but I don't see the harm in being able to do so.

What the hell kind of corrupted mind would create a video game where you could kill innocent children? I see that if it's a war game, there may or may not be children in the picture, but to intentionally kill them?

Not sure, it is strange walking around virtual cities on GTA and there is no children anywhere. I suppose they should also have schools and school buses to take out really. There could be a mission where you have to kill the child of a gangster that you have killed in case he comes back wanting revenge one day.

It's just a game, I don't really think there should be missions where you can just kill kids for the hell of it, but if it helps to move the game along or bring about some emotion and such, I don't know why not.

You used to be able to kill children in the game Fallout 3, then they did an update that took the "ability" out of the game.

I agree.
I have played all kinds of video games, "killing" all types of "people" and/or "creatures", and not once have I felt the urge to go out and kill anyone or anything for real.
Believe it or not, most of us can actually tell the difference between make-believe and real life. Crazy huh? ;-)

Yeah, I recall being annoyed at various times that certain "people" were "off limits". Some games have "victims" that are sort of running around in the background, that you are supposed to be "rescuing". But sometimes I feel like being a bastard and "killing" them too. It annoys me that I cannot. lol! And yes, children too. Especially the bratty children!!
